Each of the rooms and suites comes with an unparalleled view
of white-crested waves, the Ko'olau Mountains with their majestic
silhouettes, and Honolulu's whirling constellation of lights. Over
two-thirds of the rooms and suites directly face the Pacific.
To protect and increase awareness of the endangered Hawaiian
green sea turtle, or "honu", Sheraton Waikiki adopted this marine animal in
April, 1996 as its mascot and symbol of hospitality. Sheraton Waikiki has
developed a program theme around "honu" which has been integrated into every
aspect of the hotel. In addition, the hotel has gone under a $20 million,
5-year renovation. The motif of the renovation is underwater marine life and
"honu". |
